SPEAKER_02

Chatters, chatties, welcome home for Great American Chat, the podcast where we chat about great American media. I'm Chad Maurice, and Cricket is back. What's going on, Cricket?

SPEAKER_07

Not much. Seems like we just were here not too long ago, Chad.

SPEAKER_02

Well, was it last week? It was last week, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_07

Yes, it was.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, okay. Okay. But we're late this week. Today's Friday.

SPEAKER_07

That's all right. We're in different outfits today, too.

SPEAKER_02

So we usually do this on Wednesdays. Different show, different outfits, right?

SPEAKER_07

I know, right? No cowboy hat in this show.

SPEAKER_02

You could wear one.

SPEAKER_07

I probably could. You're right. Because why isn't we see they wear them this way? That's right. Maybe I'll pull it back out. It just doesn't go well with the mounty t-shirt. See?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay. I gotcha. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, it's all good though.

SPEAKER_02

All right. So tonight we are chatting about when hope calls, it's back.

unknown

It's back. Woo-hoo!

SPEAKER_02

We're back in Brookfield. We are for the third season.

SPEAKER_06

I know. Who would have thought, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And the third season and the third title change.

SPEAKER_06

So true, Chad. So true.

SPEAKER_02

So true. If you remember when the show started, it was called When Hope Calls. And then they changed it last season to Brookfield, a When Hope Calls story. And now it's When Hope Calls Brookfield. So hard. I guess every season we're gonna have a different name, right? Is that the way it works?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I mean, hey, you kind of adapt to that year. I mean, I guess that's what it is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't know why they keep they can't decide on a name for some reason.

SPEAKER_07

I I never understood that in like the movies, too, where they have like three different titles. So it's it's it's fitting, Chad. It really is. I mean uh confusing though. When you go to search it up, sometimes you can't find it.

SPEAKER_02

So oh Melissa's here. Hey Melissa.

SPEAKER_07

Hey Melissa.

SPEAKER_02

All right, so I didn't get a chance. I didn't have time to do a recap of last season, like I wanted to do, to get yeah, to get catch not only catch people, everyone else up on. Hey Victoria's here. Hey Victoria, Victoria, do you ever do you ever go by the name Vicky? Or do you like Victoria? Or how about Victor? Yeah, so I didn't get because I because I wanted to get myself caught up too, because I couldn't remember what happened last season, and I couldn't remember the characters' names.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, I had to refresh on that too. I was like, who's I just wrote them all down before we came on, so yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I wrote them down too, and I'm gonna do a little quick review of who is who and who belongs to who and who's related to who.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_02

So the main characters here, we have Nora, and she took over, played by Cindy Busby. She took over the orphanage when the redhead from the first season is that Lillian Europe. Was that Lillian? Yeah, went to Europe to be with her sister because her sister was pregnant. Oh, Vicky likes to go by Victoria, okay.

SPEAKER_07

You're not right. Victoria, I'll smack him for you next time I see you, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Um, yeah, so she took over the orphanage, and it turns out she was who was it? Laurian, no, what was the Lillian?

SPEAKER_07

Lillian.

SPEAKER_02

She was Lillian's um aunt, right? Lillian was her niece or is her niece. Yeah, so that was revealed last season. And then we have Michael Fletcher, Fearless Fletcher, who he's known, he's the Mountie, played by Christopher Russell. He comes to town and takes over for the other mounty who left.

SPEAKER_06

Gabriel. Gabriel.

SPEAKER_02

Gabriel. Oh, you remember the okay, you're good. You remember that. I didn't remember those names. Yeah, he left to take some other assignment because he was like injured or something. I forget what what the deal was, wasn't it? I forget what or no, Fletcher was injured, so they gave him this assignment. That's right. The other guy was injured last season, but he got better, so he left town. That's right.

SPEAKER_07

You're welcome, Victoria.

SPEAKER_02

And then we have Tess and Ronnie, they are brother and sister-in-law. Tess is a rancher, she owns the Stuart Ranch, and Ronnie is the hotel owner and restaurant owner in town. And then we have Maggie and Sam. Maggie is the nurse. She came to town and took over for the doctor because some reason the doctor left town. I don't know why. The doctor left town and Maggie showed up. I don't know what the deal was there. I can't remember. Yeah, I remember on that one. Because they used to have a doctor, they did the first season. And then Sam. Uh he and Maggie are got all hot and heavy at the finale last season. He's a prospector who struck rich, struck rich finding gold. And then we have Joe, he's this the owner of the general store. And then we have Hannah and Wyatt. So Hannah inherited the Lawrence ranch. And last season she was gonna sell it, but then the last minute she decided not to sell it, she was gonna keep it. She inherited it from her uncle, I think it was. Was it unclear?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he died, yeah. I think he died, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then Wyatt is her ranch foreman on the Lawrence Ranch. And I didn't mention my favorite character.

SPEAKER_07

I knew that was coming, Chad. I knew it. I was waiting for that.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't have I didn't have her written down.

SPEAKER_06

I love Lucy.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't have her written down, but I have to mention her. Lucy, she's the ranch foreman for Tess on the Stuart Ranch.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

All right, did I f did I forget anybody? That's pretty much everyone, right? The main characters anyway.

SPEAKER_07

Um, Debbie the Baker.

SPEAKER_02

Debbie's the Baker, yeah. She's in this episode, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And then Ken.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's Grumpy.

SPEAKER_07

That's Grumpy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Ken. Yeah, he makes an appearance in this episode too, yeah. Yes. Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I think that's everybody.

SPEAKER_02

All right. This title or this episode, do you know the title of this episode?

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, really?

SPEAKER_07

I don't. I didn't I forgot to look at it again.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, dang, I thought you were.

SPEAKER_07

You think I've it learned by now, Chad, but I have it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. They're all the time. Take a guess, take a guess.

SPEAKER_07

No, every time I guess it's new beginnings.

SPEAKER_02

That was last season's first episode.

SPEAKER_06

I know. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Think about what the think about what the episode was about.

SPEAKER_07

Um conflict, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

All right. It's titled Gratitude.

SPEAKER_07

The Rock. I forgot. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

The Rock. That's right. Not the Wrestler.

SPEAKER_07

Rock Crusher. Woohoo! Sorry, that's an inside joke. Sorry.

unknown

All right.

SPEAKER_02

So Crackett, you're gonna get us started talking about the first scene here.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, so the the first scene opens up and it's the morning after the season finale from uh last season when they uh rustled down the the bad guys, and um, you know, they all kind of pitched in and got them all, right? And then um, so it opens up with uh Fletcher, fearless Fletcher, coming off the porch and meeting up with Nora. Um, and she walks up to him and she's like, Hey, I need to talk to you about something. Um, but then Constable, you know, Jim Reynolds rides up and interrupts them and uh tells them that they haven't found the ringleader of the cattle rustlers yet. And then Fletcher tells Nora she and the kids are safe now because you know they think they ran them out of town. So um then over at the Lawrence Ranch, we see wait, hold on, hold on. Oh, we're not doing that one. Okay, sorry.

SPEAKER_02

No, but I got I gotta stop you because I was like at the end of this scene, I was like, what? Fletcher tells Nora she and the kids are safe now. And I'm like, what? They just said the ringleader is still out there, so why are they safe? They're not safe. I'm like, they haven't caught the guy.

SPEAKER_07

I know, I didn't understand that either, Ted. Because I was like, okay, well, daylight helps, I guess. That's what that's how they're safe now.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, Yeah, why would they be safe? The sun's out because Tess sure isn't wasn't safe.

SPEAKER_07

No, she was not.

SPEAKER_02

All right, then over at the Lawrence Ranch, Lucy rides up and asks Wyatt if he will help her repair the fence damage that the rustlers have done the night before. He says Hannah and I were just going to go into town to get some supplies. Hannah says, No problem, I can go myself. And then they talk about what a hero Lucy was for saving Constable Reynolds. And I thought, man, I don't think Hannah likes Lucy very much.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. I I kind of I think she feels uncomfortable because Lucy's been with Wyatt longer than she has.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

And so I feel like maybe she's a little jealous. Oh, yeah. But then she says, no, go ahead, you guys can go. And so I'm sorry, anybody who's jealous is not gonna encourage the other person to go with the other person.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

So I I kind of feel like she she knows that um Lucy and Wyatt like that. Well, I think she knows Wyatt likes Lucy. That's what I think.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what no, Wyatt doesn't like Lucy. I think Lucy likes Wyatt, I think.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. Wyatt was boasted on her pretty good.

SPEAKER_02

Wyatt likes Hannah, I think.

SPEAKER_07

Ah, see, I didn't get that vibe on this episode.

SPEAKER_02

But I think, well, I was getting that vibe last season.

SPEAKER_07

A little bit when he was like giving her compliments in the woods, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. I think I think that's true. Yeah, but I d Hannah's definitely jealous of Lucy because she and Wyatt spend so much time together. Yeah, yeah, for sure. That's what I was picking up on this scene. All right, you can talk about what went down on the street in town.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so the next scene we open up, it's in the in the street in town, and Maggie is asking Debbie the Baker, which she has a whole new sign, a whole new spread on her table. Uh-huh. It's like, did they really have nice signs like that back in that time? Maybe they did. I don't know. Anyway, that was my question. Um, she starts talking to Debbie and and she says, Hey, you know, did you did you see what happened last night? And Maggie is talking about the kiss that she had with Sam, but Debbie thinks she's talking about the fireworks. And she's like, fireworks? Oh, I didn't even notice them. Maggie's like, Yeah, I didn't notice them because I was kissing Sam. Maggie then walks away, and then Sam was in the back, and he was kind of watching them two talk, and he was like, Oh man, you know, they're talking about me. I know they are. And so Sam walks up to Debbie and says, So what do you think Maggie thought of last night or how about last night? And she's like, Oh, she was so unimpressed.

SPEAKER_00

I know.

SPEAKER_07

And so Sam thinks that you know, she's talking about the kiss between him and Maggie, but in fact, Debbie's actually talking about the real fireworks.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh. Yeah, this was this whole episode was just miscommunication between Sam and Maggie and Debbie and and and uh and Ronnie too. Ronnie was involved in this miscommunication.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, so Victoria thought the bandits were gonna show up at the orphanage. Oh so um yeah, uh Sam's doubting himself. Debbie's talking about fireworks, they're talking about the kiss, so that's what was going on through most of this episode. Now, Debbie Downer, Constable Reynolds, gives Fletcher more dating advice. Right in the woods. Ride what's that? I said in the woods, in the woods, yeah. They're riding out in the woods. Uh he tells him again to stay away from Nora. I mean, what is up with Reynolds? He does not like romance and people dating, does he?

SPEAKER_07

I know, he really doesn't. No, he really doesn't. Like, he is just like trying to drive that home. Like, don't get involved.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, oh, I'm just reading. What go ahead?

SPEAKER_07

No, I said I do like the fact when uh when they're getting to that one point, he goes, Oh, you want to talk about romance, let's talk about yours, you know, or your yeah, yeah, and he's like, Oh, that's no fun.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he said, Oh, that's no fun. So I wonder if they were referring to Jillian's character that's gonna show up later.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. Maybe there is a prior relationship there that we don't know about.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, there could be.

SPEAKER_07

Because then she pops into town, and that'll be fun.

SPEAKER_02

And rocks Reynolds world, right?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So Victoria says she was thinking Hannah didn't want Wyatt to know she was jealous, and that's why she told him to go.

SPEAKER_05

That very well could be, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

All right, you're up on this next one.

SPEAKER_07

All right. So Nora tells Debbie about her assistant that was there visiting with her, um, that left, about the legal troubles that she's in. And they then talk about um Debbie moving into her bakery the following week, and so she's getting ready for all of that. But um Nora's very upset because she's worried about what her assistant told her about her prior employer or whatever.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm. And that's what she was trying to talk to Fletcher about at the beginning of the episode.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yes.

SPEAKER_02

Before Reynolds interrupted him.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

So Debbie's getting a bakery. She's no longer gonna have to sell her bake goods on the street.

SPEAKER_07

Nope. Nope. She's gonna have her own inside place.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no longer a street vendor.

SPEAKER_07

Nope, no pop-up bakery no more.

SPEAKER_02

Over at Joe's general store, Nora meets the new man in town. Okay, this was interesting. They want to buy the same book, but Joe only has one, so they do the you take it, no, you take it, no, I insist you take it thing until finally they decide Nora gives it to him to to buy and to have.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, so I have to ask you, Chad, in this scene.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

I kind of got this vibe of they're gonna put them two together.

SPEAKER_02

I'm thinking I was gonna ask you about this later. I'm thinking we might have a love triangle here.

SPEAKER_07

I think we might because I mean the way you know she was responding to him. No, you take the book. No, you take the book. You know what I mean? Like that was the first thing that popped into my head was oh boy, here we go.

SPEAKER_02

We got one.

SPEAKER_07

And this later scene when she gets a note from him, yes, and the book and she kind of smiles, and oh yeah, it's all handwritten, best thing ever, written letters, of course.

SPEAKER_02

I think Hannah's gonna have two love interests here. I or I mean Han Nora's gonna have two love interests here.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah, I think so too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, bring it on. I want I like I like a good love triangle. It adds some drama, right?

SPEAKER_07

Well, we know who would back out if it ever came down to something. The man of the cloth is gonna be doing the right thing, right?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you think so?

SPEAKER_07

I would hope so.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, but he's lonely.

SPEAKER_06

That is true.

SPEAKER_07

He is the new man in town, too. Yeah, he doesn't have a family, he doesn't have kids, so he's looking for somebody, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_02

He's looking for love in all the wrong places.

SPEAKER_07

He might be.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, Victoria says definitely, definitely a love triangle between Nora the Mounty and the preacher. Yeah, see? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. All right, let's see. Um all right, okay, you're up for this one.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so Maggie asked Ronnie. I think it's when she was fixing up his hand with the sab, maybe. Yeah, she asked Ronnie, so uh what do you think Sam thought about last night? And he's like, she goes, you know, and he goes, Oh, I'm sure it knocked his socks off. She didn't say the kiss either. So I think Ronnie's talking about the fireworks too. And she's like, Oh, well, one can only hope.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, Ronnie was talking about the fireworks.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I'm like, did they not see them kiss? Like, what is going on with this town? They're observed.

SPEAKER_02

Nobody saw they were right in the middle of the street.

SPEAKER_07

No wonder they can't catch the wrestlers. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

I know, and everyone was standing outside looking at the fireworks. Yes, and they were right in the middle of the street necking. I mean, how could you miss that?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, well, I don't know. Everybody was looking up, so maybe it's possible, Jack.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, everyone was looking up. That's true.

SPEAKER_07

It's true, that's possible. It's possible.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so once again, these two are talking about two different things again. Fletcher and Reynolds, they ride up on Wyatt and Lucy fixing the fence. Reynolds thanks her for saving his life. And Fletcher and Reynolds ask them if they saw the leader of the rustlers because they can't find him. He's still out there. Then they say they are gonna go over to Tessa's ranch, Fletcher and Reynolds. So they're gonna ride over there, see what's happening. Because they at this point they still think Tessa's out of town.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, they do. So they're probably gonna go check on her ranch just to make sure nothing was damaged or something, maybe. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. I don't, yeah, I'm not sure why they were going over there.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I don't either. Maybe to check and see if she made it back or something, maybe. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't know. But go ahead. You can take what happens over at Tessa's Ranch.

SPEAKER_07

All right. Over at Tessa's Ranch, we see Jerry Huntsman. Uh, he's got um oh my gosh, I forgot her name already. Tess, thank you.

SPEAKER_03

You just said you just said Tessa's ranch.

SPEAKER_07

I know, it like went right in and right out. I'm even reading it, Chad. That's how tired I am today. So don't mind me, okay? It's not the blonde hair today. It's really not. Okay, so over at Tess's Ranch, Jerry has Tess tied up, and she is sitting there, and then all of a sudden, here comes Jerry out uh from the morning. And she, or actually, is this the first part? No, that was the second scene, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_02

What's that?

SPEAKER_07

This is the second scene when he comes out with her husband's jacket on. He tells her he found this jacket in a chest and he tried it on, and he goes, Yeah, I know this is your husband's, and she's like, Take it off because you know, she feels so like betrayed because this is her husband's jacket.

SPEAKER_02

And he Oh yeah, he's wearing her husband's jacket, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Um and so his plan is he like um cuts her ropes off and says, you know, we're going for a walk. But first he's like, let's go to the bank, and she's like, Okay, well, you're not gonna find anything there. And he's like, What do you mean? And she's like, I don't put my money in the bank, you know, I don't trust the banks and all of this and that. So um he wants like five thousand dollars from her, and he's like, I know you got more than a couple hundred, you know, you got all this cattle, and um, that's when she proceeds to tell him that she buried his money, and uh so he falls for it, and then uh, but but but in all fairness, when they you know, later on there is money in that box, you know that, right?

SPEAKER_02

I didn't see any money.

SPEAKER_07

You didn't look closely. I had to go back and look.

SPEAKER_02

Was there was money in that box?

SPEAKER_07

There's a roll of money in that box.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I didn't see that. Really?

SPEAKER_07

You gotta go back and look.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wow, okay.

SPEAKER_06

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

See, that's what happens when they can't get screenshots, see?

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, there was, yeah. I wonder how much was there, huh?

SPEAKER_07

I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

That was that's interesting.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, so yeah, but she convinces him to uh untire and they go for a walk in the woods.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. All right, and we'll get back to that story more later. Over at the orphanage, Ruby lost a special rock. She says it was her mother's, and that it was her gratitude rock. Art apologizes, says he shot it with his slingshot. Yeah. Nora has the kids do a grid search to look for Ruby's rock. And you know what? In this episode, we only see four kids looking for the rock, and then later when they're eating dinner, we only see five kids.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

We only see five. We're missing are we missing kids, or was that all there was?

SPEAKER_07

I thought there was six, but I could be wrong.

SPEAKER_02

And we did not see remember Jenny slash Dolores? Where was she? We didn't see her at all in this.

SPEAKER_07

She was one of the well, we didn't see the older girl. Is that Jenny? That's what you're talking about, Dolores. And then who was um who was Nora's helper, too? The helper wasn't there either.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's right. The older lady. Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_07

Maybe she left to go back.

SPEAKER_02

She left. That's right.

SPEAKER_06

She left.

SPEAKER_02

That's right. She left. That's why Jenny slash Dolores kind of took over and she was.

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, I was surprised we didn't see her.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Later, Nora sees Art playing with his slingshot. Ho ho, she gets an idea. Uh let's see. I'm gonna take this one and I'll have you do the next one. Fletcher and Reynolds arrive at Tess's ranch. They fly, they find blood on the front porch, and Tess is missing. I'm telling you, it's Nancy Guthrie all over again.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's not right, chat. I know it isn't right. I couldn't resist, but it reminded me so much of that case. I know, it's terrible, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I know it is terrible.

SPEAKER_07

I know it's horrible. I know.

SPEAKER_02

I know, I know. I just hope they can get the foot. I just hope they can get the footage off of Tessa's ring camera to see.

SPEAKER_07

Right on the ring door bell, right? Yeah, on the ring door bell.

SPEAKER_02

That's right. I know that joke was in poor taste, but I couldn't resist.

SPEAKER_07

I know.

SPEAKER_02

All right, so they go inside and they find keys that Tess threw on the floor. So they go out in the woods to look for her. So why did she throw her keys on the floor?

SPEAKER_07

I think just to let them know that I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

That she was there, maybe that she has to be like, I guess so, because later they do find the keys and they said, Well, Tess must be home. So I guess she threw the keys hoping someone would find them. I guess. Yeah, and I think for her. All right, cricket. Then you you can take this one.

SPEAKER_07

All right. So then we see Hannah. Um she's going into town because you know, she told Lucy and Wyatt to go fix the fences. So she then goes into town. Well, she gets a telegram while she's there. Um, it's somebody who wants her to design a line of dresses for them and they want a fresh new look, you know. Um, and so she's talking with Maggie. Maggie is trying to tell her about Sam's kiss, and she totally ignores her and says, I gotta go. And she's like, Okay, like, wow, he like left me there. Um, but anyway, so she goes back to her ranch and she um totally forgets to get the feed for the animals. So she's sitting there and she's she's like telling herself, Oh, I gotta hurry up, you know, I gotta do all this work. And so she starts drawing and doing all these designs and everything. And um, Lucy shows up and she's like, Well, I'm getting ready to go home. And she's like, Okay. And um she shows her a couple of her designs and she's like, Well, would you ever wear this? And she's like, Well, no, I don't wear dresses, and she's like, Well, why not? And she's like, Because I can't move in them, I can't ride in them. And so then she's like, Okay, and then she's like, Okay, that gives me an idea. That's a whole new fresh idea. And so her and Lucy start talking more and more, and they get involved in all these ideas now that are coming to Hannah's mind, you know. And then Wyatt walks in and he's like, Oh, great, you two, like, you know. Um, and so he gets very annoyed at it. And he's he just she goes, What? She looks good in this color. And he just walks out, rolls his eyes, you know. He had made a comment. He's like, Oh, is this ranch not a fashion boutique? And he's like, you know, this ranch is a full-time job, and so and so is does that. Oh, this is when she's outside. I'm sorry. So then um it later in that scene, she's outside feeding the horses, and he walks up and he just says, Um, you know, this this ranch can't be you can't do two jobs at once, they're both full-time jobs. So how are you gonna do both, basically? And and she's like, it's not an option, and she's like, failure's not an option.

SPEAKER_02

So oh, Melissa says she doesn't remember seeing the blind girl either. Yeah, remember the blind girl from last season? They do show her for half a second in this episode when they're eating.

SPEAKER_07

I did see her at the table.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, table when they're eating. Yes, they show her for a split second, but she doesn't have any lines.

SPEAKER_07

No, she does not.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, did that Artemis spacecraft splash down? Kat's here. She said, Sorry to join late. Had to watch the Artemis splashdown. Oh, I didn't know that was oh, yeah, they were landing in San Diego. Yeah, cute. I would have watched it.

SPEAKER_07

Yay, I'm glad they did. They'll have it on Twitter. That is awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'll have to watch the recording of that.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, me too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so why he doesn't like the dress design stuff? He wants her, he wants her to work on the ranch. Let's see, Ronnie at his hotel has a meeting with Maggie, Debbie, and Grumpy to talk about interviewing preachers for the church they don't have. They interview Reverend Daniels, the new guy in town. Maggie says, What would your role be in this position? And Daniel says, Spread love and understanding to those who need it most. And then they all turn and look at Ronnie.

SPEAKER_07

He's like, Why are you looking at me?

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, that was that was pretty funny. Grumpy says to Daniels, can you build? Can you build? That's what he says. Right. Daniel says, or asks, a congregation? And Grumpy says, No, a church. Right. Because they don't have a church. Ronnie, oh yeah, in this scene, Ronnie says to them before they start the interview, he says they aren't going to hire the first one they interview, but then they do.

SPEAKER_07

But then they do.

SPEAKER_02

They offer him the job at the end of the interview.

SPEAKER_07

Well, I think the fact that he was gonna go to the other town, and I think it was uh Debbie was like, Oh, that's a big, that's a big town. We're not that big, and so then they kind of get scared that you know maybe he's not gonna want to stay.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, Kat says the blind girl. I've Charlotte, is that the blind girl's name? Charlotte. Yes, he says she has more screen time in episode two. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

All right, all right, that's good. That's good. All right, you can talk about what goes down in the woods here.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so Jerry and uh Tess have been walking out in the woods, and they finally get to the spot where she's telling him it's in one of two places, and so he's like, You better be, you know, or I'm gonna get really angry, whatever. So she says, Okay, well, we'll start here. So they go ahead and he starts digging, you know. And um so, but actually, before they're um you already have that in there, so as they're walking, okay, never mind. That's later. Never mind. I want to tell I don't want to give away that from the earth section there. Anyway, so she gets to the point in the woods where she thinks her money is buried, so she has him start digging in the first spot, and so he's annoyed. Um, but he keeps digging, so that's till the later scene we find out more.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh. But then he keeps digging and digging, and there's nothing there. Nothing there. Like, oh, well, maybe it wasn't this spot, maybe it was one over there.

SPEAKER_06

It's over there.

SPEAKER_02

So he gets mad, and you know, Jerry, he's not the brightest cow in the herd, I must say. Yeah, he's he's not very bright because because all she was he didn't understand that it was this all was just a wild goose chase, and all she was doing was trying to tire him out, making him shovel all these holes.

SPEAKER_07

I know, right? And she knew hopefully the mounties were coming, you know, because she kind of led him there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so yeah, she's not gonna just take you to her money and let you just have it, right? I know, let you just have it, exactly. Yeah, so then Reynolds and Fletcher, they're riding around trying to figure out where Tess would be, so they're in the woods. Reynolds wonders if Tess had any enemies, and Fletcher says she came to me a while ago complaining about some guy named Huntsman. Reynolds says, I am familiar with him, and then they wonder why. Oh, Tess and Jerry would be out in the woods. Then they come to the conclusion that ranchers don't believe in banks and that they bury their money. Now, how the heck did they come up with that?

SPEAKER_07

Well, probably because they had a lot of money and a lot of money in the banks, they don't want people to rob. Back in those days, people robbed banks too much.

SPEAKER_02

That just came out of nowhere that these two just thought of that.

SPEAKER_07

Well, no, I mean they they were trying to figure out why Tess led them to the woods, and I think that's why they were like trying to be like, what are we down here for?

SPEAKER_02

You know, like they don't even know, they don't even know if Jerry has Tess, they don't know where Tess is, they don't know what happened to Tess. True, you know, they don't know that Jerry kidnapped her, kidnapped her, you know. Yeah, they find a piece of Tess's dress that she dropped in the woods for them to find. And then oh wait, I'm gonna continue here. In another part of the woods, Tess has Jerry digging where she knows there is no money. Tess says, Is LM behind all this? LM is the place that Jerry works for, the company that he works for. He says, No, I am the one after your money. They are after your ranch. While Jerry is digging for money, uh his shovel hits something, and it's a metal box that Tess buried years ago. Is it money? Apparently it is because you said, right? I didn't know that. We don't find out if there's money in the box, although Cricket says there is. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

While Jerry is opening the box, Tess unties herself. Again, Jerry's not only not very smart, but he can't tie a knot. I mean, she just unties herself. She unties herself and bashes him in the head with his shovel. She grabs the metal box and the chase pursues. He gets a shot fired off at her, but the bullet hits the box. Then he is in position to take her out, but fearless Fletcher rides up and takes him out instead. Reynolds then tells Fletcher after they get uh Jerry all tied up, tells Fletcher that he still has it and that he shouldn't be wasting his time in this small town. He should be out there tracking bad guys. Then Tess goes home, she opens his metal box. Inside is a picture of her and her husband and her husband's wedding band. She says that she will keep protecting their ranch. She worked hard to get it, and she will work hard to protect it. All right. Now, what were your thoughts on this storyline with Tess and Jerry? Here's my thoughts. I'll give you my thoughts. I thought they should have extended this storyline into the next episode. I thought Tess should have been missing this entire episode.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I mean it would have brought more, you know, mystery to what's going on with Tess, you know, what is who's got her and and why. Yeah, I think or is she still out from wherever she went?

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You know, did she not make it home? Did her stagecoach get, you know, or her horse carriage or whatever get robbed, you know, who knows?

SPEAKER_02

Well, they found her keys, so they assume she did make it home.

SPEAKER_07

True. But how many of those were her actual keys to her house?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, yeah, yeah, that's true. Yeah, I I think they should have extended that and not caught Jerry until the next episode. Have have everyone, everyone in town wondering what happened to Tess, you know.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Like have a night scene with the fire and they're sitting there talking and she's messing with with Jerry, you know. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that would have been good. Yeah. Yeah. Because I don't even even Wyatt and Lucy, none of them know that Tess was missing. No one else knew, only the mounties.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. They should have been.

SPEAKER_07

Well, no, they knew Tess was missing. They didn't know it was Tess missing, but they found the blood on her house. That's why they went out looking for her.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they found the blood on her front porch. Yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Well, and on the floor. It was on the floor of her house, too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but I mean no one else in town knew Tess was missing.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, Kat agrees with me. Thanks, Kat. She agrees it should have been stretched out. I think it should have been. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

All right. So back in town. You can take it over from here here for this one.

SPEAKER_05

Um, let's see here. I don't think I have that next one, do I?

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. It's about Ronnie giving Sam the bill for the party.

SPEAKER_07

Hang on. No, this is the one. Is this the one where we go in town and she's looking for the rock?

SPEAKER_02

No, Ronnie gives Sam a bill for the party.

SPEAKER_05

I don't know if I have that one. I don't know if I have that one.

SPEAKER_02

You don't have that one?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, go ahead. You bring that one.

SPEAKER_02

Back in town. Ronnie gives Sam a bill for the party through for him the night before with the fireworks and the whole extravaganza and the cake that uh Dolores made and everything. It is way more than what he originally told Sam it would be. Ronnie says, hey, there were cost overruns and the injury to my hand. And I'm not always thinking, why did this hand injury cost him money? I mean, did Maggie charge him for putting gauze on his hand? Right, right. I mean, that didn't cost him any money.

SPEAKER_07

No, it's it's injury. It slowed his uh his ability to work that night, is pretty much what he was saying.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. He was saying, yeah, he had to charge him costs because he can't run his hotel because of this hand injury or something.

SPEAKER_06

Yes, yes, that was silly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he's just trying to get more money out of Sam, just like he did for throwing this whole party and everything.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. All right, let's see. Um, you want to talk about this next step as this next one? About town in town looking for Ruby's rock.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, yes. So then we see Nora and we see the two kids, Art and uh Ruby, and they're in town. Or no, it was just her and Ruby. They're looking around for a rock that's about the same size um as the one that she lost. Because I think, you know, Nora's got that idea in her head for later what she's gonna do. Um, and so she's trying to find that exact size. Well, then they run into the Reverend again, and this time uh she finds out he's a pastor, and they get to talking a little bit, and he tells her, Oh, well, I'm gonna be in town longer than I thought, you know. And and um, this is when he gives her the book, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Um he gives her the book. No, this is later. This is a no, that occurs later. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, so then I don't know if he walks away or the scene just ends, but then Nora does find a rock that's the same size as the one that Ruby lost. And so they go back to the um to the house, and so they're in the front yard, and she says, Okay, I want you to stand in the exact place that you were when you shot the slingshot with the rock. And so he's up there and she's like, the same angle, same everything, you know. And so he's up there and he he does it, and she goes, Okay, now you gotta watch where it lands, Ruby. And so then he slings it off. That thing goes flying. I'm like, they were never gonna be able to see where that went.

SPEAKER_02

I know that he rocketed that thing. So did this was so far-fetched that they're gonna find this rock.

SPEAKER_07

I know, and then what gets it what gets me is they do find it, you know. She's like, Oh, it's my rock, and they weren't even that far away from the house, and that rock went really far.

SPEAKER_02

So I know I was thinking the same thing. The rock went flying into the woods, and then when they find the rock, you can see the orphanage in the background. Yes, in the background. There's no way that rock landed that close to the the orphanage, right? Yeah, that was impossible that they were gonna find that rock.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, it was funny. Um, and then the the kids all sit down afterwards. Um, well, you I'm sorry, I'm trying to go to the next scene. Is that still a good one?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, talk about the dinner. Nora and kids sit down for dinner.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, so they they sit down for dinner, and that's where you see that glimpse of um Charlotte. She doesn't have any lines, like you said, but she's there and the other kids are there. And Ruby explains, because Nora says, Why don't you explain why this rock is so special to you, why it's your gratitude rock? And so she says it's her gratitude rock, and that her it was her mother's, I believe. And she said they would they would do this like um thing with the rock and everybody would hold it, and then you would say, you know, what you're grateful for, um, or thankful for. And then so each one of them holds the rock and they say different things about you know each other and um different things. So it was it was really cute. I really liked that. And Nora, you know, she's like, I'm grateful for all of you in my life, and it was it was a sweet moment. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Let's see. Oh, you can you do this next you can do this next scene too. This was sure.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Um, so Sam is in the general store.

SPEAKER_02

Uh oh. Uh-oh. Who froze up? One of us froze up. Uh-oh. Did I freeze or did I get freeze? Uh oh. Maybe I'm the one who froze. Uh-oh.

SPEAKER_07

So there you go.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wait, did I freeze or did you freeze?

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. I was still going.

SPEAKER_02

You froze on my end. Was I frozen on your end?

SPEAKER_07

Yes, you were. I guess we'll have to watch the replay. We'll see who was actually there.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, Misty's here. Hey, Misty. Hey, Misty. Misty was here.

SPEAKER_07

Um, I was trying to go into the whole scene right there. So Sam is asking Joe if he thinks Maggie's out of his league. And so Joe, in not so many words, is saying yes, basically. And Sam's going, Really you think so? And he goes, Oh, I forgot. She was with some what did he call the Maharaha or something?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And he was like, Nobody in this town is fit for her. Everybody's out of her league, you know. And so he's like, Oh, yeah, that's right. You know, and so he's he's kind of bummed, you know, because he's like saying that, and Joe's like, That's not what I said, those are your words, not mine.

SPEAKER_02

And interesting, something Sam said was interesting in this scene. He calls um Joe his roommate, his roomie. He refers to him as hey roomie. Now, I did not know that those two lived together.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I didn't know either.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Oh, people in the chat said you disappeared. Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, I don't know why it's mine. Anyway, sorry guys.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I didn't know Sam and Joe apparently are roommates. I had no idea.

SPEAKER_07

I didn't know that either.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that was new information. Nora and Fletcher finally have time to talk. She tells him about the judge that was bribing people when she was an attorney. And he gives her the book. Oh, this is that scene that she and the new preacher were fighting over earlier. And he has a note in it that says, Since I will be back, thought you might want to borrow this.

SPEAKER_07

In a nice lovely way. Where is he going?

SPEAKER_02

I guess he's going home to pack up his thing so he can move to town. Is that where you is that where you probably yeah?

SPEAKER_07

He'll be back.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, since I offered him the job.

SPEAKER_07

He's like, Johnny, I'll be back.

SPEAKER_02

Johnny Carson. I'll be back for our love triangle.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_02

All right, and then you can finish it up with the final scene here.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so then we see Sam and Maggie. They finally talk. She likes he's walking by and she opens the door and she goes, Sam, and you know, he comes in and um she goes, Oh, so I didn't know you were the type of guy who kissed and ran, you know, basically, or kisses and runs. And he says, No, I'm not. And um, she goes, I've been, or he says, I've been down in the dump state because I didn't think last night meant as much to you as it did to me. And she says, Don't be ridiculous. Um, and basically just tells him, you know, it's a feeling inside your heart, you know, it's not just a kiss, it's more than that. And then she says, But you know, we may have to do another one just to make sure. And then they kiss each other. You know, it's very sweet. Very sweet. I have to say though, it was a very good kiss because normally, you know, these kisses look kind of fake, you know. I ain't gonna lie. This one looked real, even though they didn't like, you know, go all in. It looked it looked more real than most of the kisses we see. So yeah, it was good.

SPEAKER_02

It looked legit.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, it really did. I thought so too.

SPEAKER_02

So did their one last season during the five years.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm. So that's the end of this first episode.

SPEAKER_06

I know.

SPEAKER_02

What'd you what'd you think? What'd you think? How they came back.

SPEAKER_07

I I Love the fact that they like continued it right from the last episode. I do like that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That started.

SPEAKER_07

So seeing the mounties first thing, of course, I'm gonna be ecstatic. You know, I just am, you know. You know, Jim Reynolds, you know, he's great Mounty. It's Trevor, I can't help it, you know. But yeah, no, I thought it was a a great episode. Um, I like the fact that all the characters came back pretty much, you know, all the main characters. Um, yeah, I thought it was really good. I was surprised though, kind of like when you said about the church, you know, there's no church, but they're already getting a reverend or whatever. So I'm like, well, maybe they'll do it inside the hotel, maybe until they can build a church.

SPEAKER_02

Um or maybe they'll have a cowboy church.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, they might. You never know. You never know. Well, I think the I think instead of the cowboy church, they're gonna have the church, but I think they're gonna have a boutique in a barn. That's what I'm thinking with that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Um, yeah, interesting that it started up right where the last episode ended the next morning, because they could have had like a you know two months later or one month later. Right, right. Test could have been missing for like two months. Well, yeah, that's too. That's true.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, very true.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

That would have been a good plot twist, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. Oh, Ben loves or I mean Ben, I mean Melissa loves the mounties, especially Reynolds, of course.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah, this was a good way to bring it back. It had it was pretty exciting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. The stuff going on between uh Tess and Jerry.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, Huntsman is a good character. And him and Tess, him and Tess play off each other so well. I just it's I love their characters together.

SPEAKER_02

That's why I wanted him around for a couple episodes because I guess we're not gonna see him anymore. They got arrested and they took him off. They dragged him out.

SPEAKER_05

He'll break out. He'll break out.

SPEAKER_02

I was just gonna say, unless he breaks out of jail.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he'll break out. They gotta bring him back. He's too good of a villain. He really is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's too good.

SPEAKER_07

Too good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um, let's see. What are the what other thoughts we got about this episode? I think we're talking about what yeah.

SPEAKER_07

No, I just want to make sure everybody knows. Like, if you're on the email for Great American Family, they're doing a virtual screening next Thursday, I believe. And I believe Gillian and Trevor will be the people on it. So make sure you check out your emails.

SPEAKER_02

There you go. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. So make sure you're watching your emails. Make sure you get online and put your questions in, and yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's good to know. What what do you think we're gonna see this season?

SPEAKER_07

What are we gonna see? I know Jillian's coming.

SPEAKER_02

I know Jillian's coming.

SPEAKER_07

So my question is, do you think she's gonna get saved by Reynolds? Or I wonder how it's gonna play out.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, and how many episodes do you think we're gonna see Trevor in this this season?

SPEAKER_07

I think he's gonna be in more this year.

SPEAKER_02

He's gonna be in more in this season.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I think so.

SPEAKER_02

He said goodbye to Fletcher. He said goodbye to Fletcher.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he's just going back for a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he'll be back. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Because you want to know why? Because when he walked into the office, he looked around like, oh, is there enough space for me in here? That's the thought I had.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, really?

SPEAKER_07

Yes, exactly. Unless he was looking for Nora. He could have been looking for Nora, but the way he turned around and looked, it was almost like he was seeing if the place was big enough. That was my thought.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh. Yeah, well, they they they can only have one mounty in town. I think Jim Reynolds isn't going to stay, but I think he's definitely gonna be back. Yeah, yeah, that's a good question. You said is he gonna be saving Jillian, or is Jillian just gonna come to town or something and they're gonna know each other? Maybe they dated in the past or something. Who knows if they're gonna be yeah, there's a there's some relationship there, or if they know each other. Yeah, we'll have to see. We'll have to see what's how do you think they're gonna wrap up this storyline with Nora and the the crooked judge who what do you think they're gonna do with that storyline?

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. Maybe maybe Nora's gonna get. Ooh, maybe Jillian comes in to stay at the orphanage why uh Nora is in court or something.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, actually, who speaking of that, what is Jillian's character? Is she gonna be an attorney or what's her profession?

SPEAKER_07

I think she is an attorney.

SPEAKER_02

I think I think that's oh maybe she comes to town to represent Nora, maybe.

SPEAKER_07

Maybe. Oh, that could be maybe she's a friend of Nora's, maybe they know each other and that's how they're gonna introduce her. I don't know. Or she comes to town and Nora's like, oh my gosh, you couldn't be here, you know. This is great. You came into town, I need one.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh. Oh, that's interesting. Okay, so she might have something to do with this.

SPEAKER_07

Or maybe, maybe, maybe, um, maybe Jim uh Reynolds knows an attorney, and maybe he's the one who brings Gillian in, and that's how they know each other. You never know.

SPEAKER_02

Who? Who did you say?

SPEAKER_07

Maybe um Mounty Reynolds. Maybe he's the one who knows Gillian's character.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, oh, okay, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And maybe he brings that's how they know each other. Maybe that's the relationship. Maybe they were in law school together or whatever. I don't know if they do law school for mounties, but I'm sure they party.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm. Do you think we're gonna see an engagement between Sam and Maggie?

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you think so?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

This season?

SPEAKER_05

I don't know about this season, but I think that I think there's gonna be something there. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

There's always gotta be a wedding in one of the seasons. I mean, come on. It's gotta be.

SPEAKER_02

All right, so those are some good predictions. All right, we'll have to wait and find out.

SPEAKER_05

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

The second episode is streaming right now on Great American Pure Flicks and airs Sunday night on Great American Family. And hopefully, fingers crossed, we will be back next week to chat about that one.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

And we'll see who shows up for that episode. If we get any more new characters, or if Reynolds is back, or if he's gonna skip an episode and come back in the third episode, we'll have to see.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see for sure.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, thanks for being here. Oh, I forgot. I always forget. No, you try to do that all the time, Ada. That's right. We got the mystery items. That's right.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, I'll go first this time since you have any guesses.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I have a guess, but I'm wait a minute. Um you well, you always bring something that's not obvious, so I'm not gonna guess the obvious. What was in this episode? Let me think.

SPEAKER_07

There was all kinds of things in this episode.

SPEAKER_02

There was I don't know. Yes, there was I was having a hard time coming up with something.

SPEAKER_07

Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_02

Let's see, there was a lot.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

All right. I I I got it. You brought a shovel.

SPEAKER_07

I could I could have, but no, I did not. So, you know, I told you last season I'd collect oil lamps, so this is a different one. Because they had one, they had one when they were interviewing the Reverend behind him.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, was there a lamp in the background?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, there was an oil lamp. So this is this is another one of my oil lamps. This one has the little wick and everything in it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, cool. Okay. All right. That's a good idea. Yeah, I can see it.

SPEAKER_07

So, yeah, so that's what I brought.

SPEAKER_02

All right, that's a good idea. You always guess what I brought.

SPEAKER_07

So you either brought an apple or you brought a rock.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, there was an apple in this in the show.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, I guess you didn't bring the apple.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, Jerry was eating an apple.

SPEAKER_07

Bring an apple, yes.

SPEAKER_02

You're right. I I didn't pick up on that. But you okay.

SPEAKER_07

Did you bring keys?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, keys, that was another one. I didn't know. I gotta, I gotta start watching more closely.

SPEAKER_07

I can't believe you didn't see any of those. Oh my goodness. Okay, so you didn't bring a rock, you didn't bring keys, and you didn't bring an apple. So I don't know what you brought.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't say I didn't bring a rock.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, you did. Okay.

SPEAKER_06

There you go. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I brought the gratitude rock, but it's the wrong color. It's not the right color. But yeah, that's the only thing I could think of.

SPEAKER_07

So the other thing I thought about bringing was the salt and pepper shakers that were on the tables in the hotel. Again, when they were interviewing, yeah, when they were interviewing the reverend on the table, they had candles in this, there were candles in the glass like cup or glass, and then they had a little miniature of salt and pepper shakers next to them.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, geez, I didn't even see those either.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, yeah, yeah. I I watched everything. I'm looking around as I'm watching the scene. I'm like, okay, what can I bring?

SPEAKER_02

I'm trying to pay attention to the dialogue. So yeah, all right, keys and an apple, those would have been two good ones. Yeah, yeah. And the keys would have been really good. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I didn't have any old timey keys, so I couldn't do that one.

SPEAKER_02

Uh huh.

SPEAKER_07

I could have brought regular keys, I guess, but yeah. But yeah, I I I have to stick with the actual item. So uh try to anyway.

SPEAKER_02

So how many, how many lanterns do you have?

SPEAKER_07

I mean, I don't have a lot. I have a pair of these, uh, and then I have another one that's different than this, but it's an oil lamp with a wick. Um, then I have those that one I showed you that was looks like an absolute lantern type, and that's a wick one too. And then I have my LED lanterns that I have that I use during my storms, but then I have um I have a few, I have another big one, another big oil lamp like this, but it's it's like tall, very tall. And then I have I I have some other smaller ones. I don't have a lot. I just, you know, whenever I see them at like a um thrift store, I'll buy them.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

Because I'm I'm always like, I have the oil that you you put the same oil you put in your um tiki lamps, tiki torches.

SPEAKER_02

Right, right.

SPEAKER_07

So that's what I use. So and it's great for when the power goes out because you don't have to worry about your you know, it's covered, it's the only thing is the black smoke on it.

SPEAKER_02

I don't like that, but oh Kat says she likes your oil lamp.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, Melissa wants to know how to sign up for that email to get uh I think you can do it on Great American Family's website. I think you can find it. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, you can sign up on their website.

SPEAKER_05

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

So do you have less than 10 or more than 10 lanterns?

SPEAKER_07

It's probably a little less, probably about eight, probably about eight of them. I had more, but when I moved, I broke some of them.

SPEAKER_02

Victoria wants to know did you get your LED lamps from QVC?

SPEAKER_07

Um, I don't think so. I got them on Amazon. Oh they're black and they they close and then you open them. So they're not like a traditional lamp like this, or uh like my other one. They're like they look like canisters and then you pull on them and then they light up because they're they're battery operated. Those are battery operated.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. They're not actual like, does it look like a lantern when you pull it out?

SPEAKER_07

Well, when you're holding it, well, hang on, I'll go get it. Hang on. I'll show you.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_07

I'll make it quick.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_02

She's going to get her fold up lantern. L E D lantern.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, here we go.

SPEAKER_02

All right, all right.

SPEAKER_07

All right, so this is what it looks like, and then when I pull it up.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, geez, that's bright. Oh yeah. Wow, that's really bright. Okay, it does look like a lantern. It does look like a lantern, okay.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so then when you're holding it, it looks like a little lantern. You just pull it down. I got like six of these.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, oh, here you go. Victoria says QVC had some that look like an actual oil lamp and they ran off batteries.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I may have to find those.

SPEAKER_02

Oil.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, thanks for that insight. I may have to look on there.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

All right. Well, that's it for the season three premiere.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Until next time for the second episode. You keep the faith. Keep smiling, keep your friends close, and keep your great American family closer. See you next time.

SPEAKER_06
